Meet the World's Most Extraordinary Baroque Quartet!

Red Priest is the only early music group in the world to have been compared in the press to the Rolling Stones, Jackson Pollock, the Marx Brothers, Spike Jones and the Cirque du Soleil. This extraordinary acoustic foursome has been described by music critics as ‘visionary and heretical’, ‘outrageous yet compulsive’, ‘wholly irreverent and highly enlightened’, ‘completely wild and deeply imaginative’, with a ‘red-hot wicked sense of humour’ and a ‘break-all-rules, rock-chamber concert approach to early music’.... read on

"For sheer technical wizardry, charismatic showmanship and expressive devilment, Red Priest is in a exhilarating class of it’s own."

Hello Red Priest! I am a pupil at Penglais School in Aberystwyth and I was lucky enough to attend a workshop this week in Aberaeron School and watch you perform. I really wanted to thank you for playing; it was incredible, lively, expressive, fun – just amazing. You are all so talented and have very impressive improvisation skills! I particularly enjoyed your version of Spring aswell. Thank you so much, it was an absolute pleasure watching you yesterday, and I am looking forward to composing for you!

Thank you so much for an extraordinary concert I attended in the wonderful church of Zierenberg. I have never heard anything like that before. I was lucky to sit in the first row. So I could watch you very closely. You are so charming - each of you in his or her own way. Great musicians! Good luck!

Just returned home from wonderful "Handel in the Wind" concert at Thaxted. I purchased the CD in November last year and have had to wait until tonight to hear this live. Red Priest's music is as much visual as aural to me - this concert has completed this masterful programme. Yet another triumphant interpretation of much loved music. Each project has so much to live up to. Thank you x

Wonderful concert at Norden Farm Arts Centre last night. Who says Baroque can't be fun! Vivaldi really rocks. Having heard Red Priest previously, I dragged along all my friends (the usual misgivings: recorder concert, Baroque music!). They were completely enthralled as I knew they would be. Can't wait for Handel.
